Do you want to help in some other way? We can always use foster homes! Please contact us to
ask how to foster an Aussie.
Perhaps you could help transport Aussies to their foster homes or to their new families! Please consider signing up for the Aussie CUR (Canine Underground Railroad) list on
Yahoo! Groups. You will only receive emails looking for
transport help--no deluge of off topic chit-chat emails. Most transport legs are well under 100 miles one way. We need
drivers in all directions! Please go to Yahoo! Groups,
and in the Search box, type in aussiecur. It's that simple. Join the Aussie CUR today! We need you!

This is Dublin (ARPH #9278). Dublin is a handsome red (deep mahogany) tri boy almost a year old; he was purchased as a puppy and his
owners didn't research the breed very well. They were really looking for a sleepy, way laid-back basset hound kind of guy, but taller! That isn't Dublin. Dublin is all Aussie:
lovable, lively and super smart. Dublin is very very sweet and affectionate. He is velcro, excellent off-lead once he has established that he belongs and he is good with
other dogs and great with people. We don't recommend him for cats because he loves to chase them and try to herd them. He can sit and down and is learning stay,
but that's a hard one for him. He just wants to be where you are. He is an excellent performance dog candidate and would greatly benefit from obedience classes. If you
have an active lifestyle and want a companion who is ready to go anywhere with you, check out Dublin. Please contact Denise at
dgatsos@bfca.com for more information. (listed 05/20/07; updated 08/28/07)

Private Referral (listed 08/24/06; updated 05/27/07)
This is Hilda (I.D. #141075 ). Hilda is posted on behalf of S.A.N.D. Rescue.
Hilda is approximately 2 years old. She is energetic
so she needs a home with adults or with children over 10 years old. She is also housebroken and crate-trained. She sees cats as the ultimate chase toys, so we
prefer her to be in a home without cats. Hilda is in need of a special person to work with her. She is not accustomed to strangers and does not feel comfortable
around them until she gets to know them. It will take a very special person who is willing to work with her to gain her trust. She was not comfortable with us
either when we pulled her into rescue, but she was young and we could see her potential. It took only a few days for her to get 'acquainted' with us and to know
that we would not hurt her. It's hard to believe that she is the same girl now! She is also protective of us. If you are that special someone who is willing to spend
some time and give a little TLC, guaranteed you will have a friend and a protector for life! A fenced in yard is required for this beautiful girl. Please email Laura at lplessing@aol.com.

Private Referral (listed 06/02/06; updated 02/03/08)
Please meet our buddy Noah! Noah is a red-tri male Aussie. Though he's a little shy of strangers, he'd never bite;
he loves to be loved, petted, and brushed (so grooming is a cinch!), to play fetch with just about anything, and of course
to eat! He doesn't mind having his feet handled (they get wiped off after coming inside from muddy days). He enjoys his crate and doesn't mind being in it. Noah knows sit, down, stay, wait, drop it, leave it and come.
He is now 7 years old, is current on his shots, neutered and is on Heartgard and Frontline-plus. Noah is a
moderately active Aussie who is social with 1-2 dogs but doesn't so as well in large groups. He would do well in most
any home. If you want a buddy who is good in the car and who will keep you company, Noah
is for you. Please contact Alicia at aheidorn@woh.rr.com or Charlene at aussie@aol.com
for more information and for an application.
